Enjoy the thrill of the hunt each Sunday
when a bountiful spread is laid out buffet-style. A dining convention
started by the British when they occupied The Griswold Inn during
the War of 1812, Hunt Breakfast remains a popular tradition today.
This sumptuous offering includes a wide array of breakfast and lunch
entrées with made-to-order Belgian waffle and omelet stations, breakfast breads, freshly
prepared salads, and assorted desserts. Refreshing beverages to accompany
the meal are at the ready, including our classic Bloody Mary, Champagne
Cocktail, and Mimosa. Hunt Breakfast is served from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and reservations are suggested, 860.767.1776.

The Inn’s chefs artfully craft fresh local fish, regional
meats and produce into a distinctly native and seasonal menu. From
appetizers to desserts, imaginative presentation and exceptional
taste characterize the Griswold Inn’s memorable dining experience.
In autumn, the New England Harvest Menu embodies all that is fresh
and locally grown or produced. December hosts an extraordinary Holiday
Bill of Fare featuring a selection of farm-raised game entrées.
Bistro-style offerings are highlighted in our Fireside Menu presented
during the winter season, while the pairing of unique wines by the
glass with fresh, seasonal appetizers headlines the Spring Dinner
Menu. In summer, classic grilled meats, fish and seafood, as well
as fresh produce season the menu.
